Cross Creek High School is hosting the Relay for Life-Cook Off for Cancer on Saturday, Oct. 25.

Ms. Glover, who is organizing the event, said she is excited. She also said” im doing this to raise money for resarch and its for every cancanser not just one.”

“This is a our third year doing this (Relay for Life), but our first year having a cook off ,” Glover said.

The event will feature prepared dishes from students, staff, and the public. The categories are ribs, barbecue, chicken, side dish, and dessert.

The school’s very own principal, Dr. Moore, will be entering a dish of his own. Ribs is the dish he will be preparing for this event.

“I have the best ribs in augusta,” Dr. Moore said. He also says he is very excited about this event and hopes everyone gets involved to help fight cancer.

Glover’s home room will be helping with this event, but anyone is welcome to come.

The dress is casual.

General admission tickets are $10. Entry to be in the cook-off will be $25, and entrants need to provide enough samples for up to 150 people for everyone to try. Donations are being accepted to help raise awareness and funds for all.
