Sadie Hawkins dance this Friday

Usually the boys ask the girls to a dance, but this one is different.

The Sadie Hawkins dance will be March 27 at Cross Creek High School.

A tradition at many high schools, the Sadie Hawkins dance takes its name from an old newspaper comic strip called “L’il Abner”.

Cross Creek’s version of the dance will be from 6 to 8 p.m. and feature a DJ, food, prizes, fun, a photo booth and games.

Organizers are calling for participants to “dress to impress”.

“I will be expecting everybody to be dressy” said Mrs. Walker, one of the organizers. “Maybe (wear) a dress.”

Admission to the dance is $10.
