Senior week

Dress-up days and special themes mark this annual celebration for seniors

All right seniors, it’s almost that time again for the annual Senior Week.

Senior week is a week the school gives the seniors to dress-up in silly outfits and live out their childhood one last time before graduating. There’s also a movie day during the week where all the seniors will get to go in the auditorium and watch a movie.

Senior Council gets creative comes up with all the days for that week by taking suggestions from the senior class and ideas from their own heads. The movie is also decided by the senior council, but gets approved by Ms. Ferda and Dr. Moore (sorry guys, no “50 Shades of Grey”).

The days have very recently been approved and are as followed:

Monday – “Nerd Day” get out your pocket protectors and thick glasses and show your inner nerd.

Tuesday – “I Woke Up Like This Day” Just roll out of bed with your messy hair and comfy pajamas (THIS DOES NOT MEAN YOU DON’T BRUSH YOUR TEETH) and enjoy the “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” movie during 6th and 7th period.

Wednesday – “Senior Citizen Day” Raid Me-Maw and Papaw’s closet for today’s look.

Thursday – “2015 Senior Apocalypse Day” the world has been turned upside down because you are graduating. Are you on the zombie side or the survivor side?

Friday – “Field Day” Sport your spring senior t-shirt and enjoy the day free of classes down at the field.

Senior Council Advisor, Ms. Ferda, says “I’m hoping we have a full participation from seniors and staff, I think we’ll have a good time if everybody does that.”

When asked how Ferda feels about the dress-up days she replied “I’m excited for them, senior citizen day is always fun and Zombie day will be pretty interesting to see.”

Senior Week will be the week of April 27th-May 1st and is expected to be a fun-filled week if everyone participates and plays by the rules.
