On Nov. 7, 10 members from Cross Creek Student Council went to represent the school in Atlanta at the 6th annual Georgia Association of Student Council Leadership Summit.

The summit had student council leaders from all three districts. The students took part in various activities and workshops, one of which took place in the Georgia State Capitol.

There were many speakers including Senator Elect Blake Tillery and the district’s representatives.

The attendees also got a chance to tour the National Center for Civil and Human Rights.

Students had a wonderful time.

“It was really good” said Yamani Barnes, ” I felt important and successful being around such amazing young people.”
