Teacher Spotlight: Ms. Ferda

Macy Smith

The love for literature became the love for teaching the youth for Literature teacher, Ms. Ferda.

Ferda started out going to school for business, but a literature class changed her course.

“I took a literature class and fell in love,” Ferda said. “I love being at teacher at Cross Creek High School.”

This is Ferda’s first full year of teaching. She teaches American Literature to the eleventh grade students. Ferda is one of the younger teachers at Cross Creek. She feels her youth helps her relate to students.

“I Like building relationships and seeing student accomplishments,” Ferda said.

Ferda is outgoing and loves to have fun. She is currently learning how to cook. She likes to go out dancing. She has a schnauzer named Skeeter and enjoys taking him dog to the dog park. Ferda is from Guam and grew up in Washington State. She has attended Georgia collage, state university, and Augusta state. Ferda is looking forward to the class of 2014 graduating. She started with them and she is happy to see them start the next chapter of their lives.
